Local History

Our area is rich in history and the Butterfield Library has it's own unique place among that history.  Mrs. Julia L. Butterfield established a library and hospital when she died in 1913. During her life, she gave generously and as a result, was known as Lady Bountiful. We are forever thankful to her.

Stay tuned ... the library is currently planning to digitize it's collection of Mrs. Butterfield's' papers and scrapbooks.
